A Yellow-banded poison dart frog from the Northern areas of South America. These are a fairly small species of frog, but have a very loud and rhythmic call.

Named for their striking yellow and black contrasting bands (also called a Bumblebee Dart Frog), these frogs have this aposematic colouration to warn predators about their poisonous body. Some of the invertebrates they eat in the wild cause their skin to secrete these neurotoxins.

Each handmade sculpture is made with the actual species in mind. Colours will vary in individuals, so if you would like a custom piece created, please do get in touch! This piece is exclusive to MotleyExotics.

Please remember to keep this piece away from sunlight, damp environments, and note it is not suitable for children or pets.
