The longest beetle in the world; up to 7 inches, or nearly 18cm long. This rhino beetle is found in Central and South America, found in tropical forests, where the humidity can affect their colourations; males will have more of an olive-green colour to their elytra if humidity is low, and with higher humidity the elytra will become more yellow to even a black.

Sexual dimorphism is distinct in this species, with males having the large 'rhino' horns, and females lacking. They are names 'Hercules' after the greek mythological hero capable of feats of great strength.

Each handmade sculpture is made with the actual species in mind. Colours will vary in individuals, so if you would like a custom piece created, please do get in touch! This piece is exclusive to MotleyExotics.
